After seeing the producing amazing protection from our Mk3. turbo blanket, we developed our Fiesta ST150 specific header cover based on technology used in our industrial heat applications. These blankets are MADE TO ORDER to may incur 1-2 weeks production time.

Our header blankets create a thermal sleeve around your header, keeping pipework insulated and maintaining a higher core gas temperature. As we know, a hotter gas actually helps to accelerate out of the downpipe and exhaust system faster, improving efficiency and our header blankets can improve flow speed!

Protect sensitive components by insulating the heat from the exhaust. Exhausts can typically run close to fuel cells, intake pipework and other components that can be seriously damaged by heat. Our header blankets have been designed to be the toughest product on the market for reducing temperatures while also being incredibly easy to fit!

Our custom header blankets help to promote reliability within the whole engine bay. Take care of vapour lock, boiled brake fluid and rising cockpit temperatures by insulating the header that runs close to these sensitive areas and components.

Remember: Although 95% of applications do not require an Inside Out blanket, if you have an exhaust clamp, exhaust pipe or similar heat source that will be in direct contact with the outside of the blanket once fitted, you should select the ‘inside out’ finish option.

How are Funk Motorsport Manifold Heat Blankets installed?

Funk Motorsport Manifold Heat Blankets have been designed to fit the exact manifold they are intended for. Our Heat Blankets simply wrap around the manifold and are secured using the retaining springs provided. No additional purchase necessary.

Our signature Funk Motorsport 4-layer construction is the only Heat Blanket construction on the market that can be removed for routine turbo and manifold maintenance. Simply remove the springs, remove the blanket to carry out maintenance, and reinstall once complete!

How do Funk Motorsport Manifold Blankets differ from your Header Manifold Exhaust Wrap?

Great question! They are very, very different. Our Funk Motorsport Lava Rock Exhaust Wrap is a fantastic product that works to retain excess heat energy within exhaust gases and dramatically reduce under bonnet temperatures. Our Funk Motorsport Titanium Lava Rock Exhaust Wrap reduces temperatures of around 700-800°C down to approx. 300°C. For most applications this significant temperature drop meets a customer’s requirements.

In some cases however, applications require a higher level of protection, that’s where our Funk Motorsport Manifold Blankets come in. Our Funk Motorsport Manifold Heat Blankets are made from the same materials and construction methods as our Turbo Blankets, reducing temperatures of around 700-800°C down to less than 100°C on the external face. They offer huge temperature reductions while being perfectly formed to the shape of your manifold.
